Our ability to learn and get better at tasks through experience is part of being human 😁 . When we are born we know nothing about this world and yet we somehow learn things along the way through experience. Did you know that computers can do the same.
Machine Learning brings together statistics and computer science to enable machines to do the same task without programmed them to do so. Just as our brain uses experience to improve a task computers can do the same thing. But how❔
Let’s say we want computer to tell us the difference between the picture of cat 😺 and a dog 🐶.
What we can do is give the 💻 computer a lots of these pictures of cats and dogs and when computer looks at those picture it tries to find pattern in these images such as shape of their body or face 😸, colors 🔴and height etc. and provides us with some useful insights about these pattern which we can further use to predict if the given picture is cat or dog.
What’s important is that the computer itself find those patterns within the data without the help of programmer.
Of course there can be mistakes, the more data we have more accurate our model will be in its prediction 📈.
